The quasi-failure of the film year 2020, far too many Direct to Stream or BluRay releases and endless release date delays. You must be pretty stupid to want to host a film festival right now. But as is well known, you grow when faced with challenges. And we've mastered quite a few of them.
That is why we are pleased that we are following Sky Sharks, Cyst and Spare Parts six more films may be announced. And they have a lot to offer!
Uncle Peckerhead, Vicious Fun and Fried Barry will make us happy with blood, guts, but above all a good dose of fun. Anyone who has followed or visited horror film festivals abroad is likely to be familiar with one or the other. The impressive collection of awards and laurel wreaths that the films bring with them is striking. Unfortunately, the Swiss audience had to wait a bit longer. But finally, the genre pearls are making it onto the big screen here too.
Benny Loves You was officially published back in 2019, but (to our knowledge) never made it to Switzerland. Plush toy makes terror — it simply has to be great.
Speaking of terror: with Martyrs We present you the first of three film pearls from the land of Bordeaux. Like a good wine, Martyrs will be remembered for a long time. Although with a much less floral note.
As a further highlight for our section Gutted millennials Let's show Freddy vs. Jason. One or the other horror hardliner will now ritually burn his BRUGGGORE ticket and curse us for eternity. But we can live with that. Because Freddy vs. Jason is just really fun as a festival film.
The next update with the full program will follow at the beginning of April. A handful of 80s classics as well as five other films from the categories await you Fresh from the Grinder and Gutted millennials.
