The eight-legged, no, eight-part series of events will kick off on Saturday, August 30, 2024 at 12:00 ARACHNOPHOBIA (1990, Frank Marshall) and EIGHT LEGGED FREAKS (2002, Ellory Elkayem). In both films, more or less innocent villagers deal with aggressive arachnids. Although the two classics have a comedic tone, people who are afraid of spiders are said to be warned. The eight-legged friends lurk from the kitchen cupboard to the shower cubicle and it is very certain that you will no longer enter the home cellar without a bad gut feeling. The “Horror Double Fearture Lunch Cinema Extravaganza” series of events takes place annually from August to March and is organized in collaboration with Cinema Excelsior. Two content coordinated in each case Horror films are shown around lunchtime. The door opens at 11:00. The series of events is taking place for the fourth time.
Rarities and classics
For the 2024-2025 season, the BRUGGGORE team has excavated both unknown rarities and classics. By the way, the additional “r” in Fearture is not a spelling mistake, It's a word game and combines the term “double feature” (two feature films that are shown one after the other) with the word “fear.”
