CHAINSAWS WERE SINGING

Estonia, 2024, Sander Maran

“10 years in the making. Estonia's crazy genre bomb is here,” the teaser said, and since then CHAINSAW WERE SINGING has been played up and down at genre festivals around the world. It's high time to bring the Estonian chainsaw musical to the cinema in this country too — as a Swiss premiere.

LA LA LAND, WICKED and CHAINSAW WERE SINGING. A new star has been added to the list of high-quality blockbuster musicals. Depressed Tom finds new energy when he falls in love with Mary. But then she is abducted by a chainsaw-wielding maniac named Killer. Off to the rescue mission!

GRAFTED

New Zealand, 2024, Sasha Rainbow

With GRAFTED, we present you the first feature film by director Sasha Rainbow as a Swiss premiere. Body horror from New Zealand that literally gets under your skin.

Student Wei is damn smart and ambitious, socially but rather clumsy. After the death of her father, she continues his research. The goal: to heal a skin disease that also affects them and eats away at their self-worth. In the context of her new school, her quest for popularity and beauty is taking on ever more frightening features. GRAFTED offers fantastic effects and takes a critical look at social norms and obsessive ideals of beauty.

STREET TRASH

South Africa, 2024, Ryan Kruger

With FRIED BARRY (2020), Ryan Kruger has earned himself a place in the heart of Brugggore and we are particularly pleased that he is returning in 2025 with STREET TRASH. Many may be aware that this is a reinterpretation of the body or melt horror classic from 1987 and don't worry: it's reported here too!

A group of homeless people must fight to survive in a dystopian Cape Town in South Africa. It is not only the hard street life that is bothering them, but also the government, which wants to kill all homeless people with a chemical called “V”.

HOUSE OF WAX

Australia/USA, 2005, Jaume Collet-Serra

Paris Hilton instead of Vincent Price: HOUSE OF WAX from 2005 is one of these new editions that has achieved the unimaginable. Instead of producing another interchangeable teen horror flick, Jaume Collet-Serra has gone deep into the splatter box and delighted horror newbies just as much as long-established Gorehounds. Finally back on the big screen for the 20th anniversary.

A group of young people are involuntarily stranded in a remote village, where they come across the ominous “House of Wax.” In it, they find not only wax figures, but also deadly dangers. As mistrust waxes, a brutal fight for survival begins.

JAWS 3-D

United States, 1983, Joe Alves

In 1975, Steven Spielberg himself destroyed the reputation of all sharks and at the same time created a classic film that is known far beyond the horror genre. JAWS is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2025. Reason enough for us to show Jaws 3-D for no reason instead. Because everyone already knows the original. But who wouldn't want to finally see part three in real blue-red 3D in the cinema?!
