The year 2021 is running out and is ending as it began. We would have wished for the pandemic to be over a long time ago. But it seems that there will be many uncertainties again in the new year. The festival organization is not deterred by this.
The submission period for the 2022 festival runs until the end of January and we already have a packed horror program ready for you. We want to show you at least 24 films over four days at Cinema Excelsior in Brugg. In addition to numerous Swiss premieres, there will also be Swiss exclusives and popular retrospectives. The festival management is particularly looking forward to a small film: Friday the 13th Part III will be presented in wonderful old-school 3D. Much more 80s is not possible!
Speaking of joy: In 2022, for the first time, the BRUGGGORE Audience Award Awarded. 5,000 Swiss francs await the winning film. In the official competition, we will present 5 horror pearls, from which visitors will choose their favorite.
Advance sales are now open. The 4-day festival pass is still available for CHF 99.- until the end of January. It is then sold at a regular price of CHF 111.-. We recommend that you buy quickly again this year — passes for the first festival sold out quickly. Individual tickets per show are available at the cinema. Passes for individual days are also being planned, but will only be made available when the final program is published (around the end of February).
In the best slasher tradition, there is also BRUGGGORE Horror Double Fearture Lunch Cinema Extravaganza a sequel. No, it's much more like a new season. We will sweeten a whole nine Saturdays for you. Starting on January 29, 2022 with the legendary Norwegian Nazi zombie comedies Dead Snow 1 and 2. Save the full dates:
