Dario Argento has co-created Italian giallo and horror like hardly anyone else. Extravagant, intoxicating productions, spectacular murders, driving Goblin soundtracks and censorship and confiscations have accompanied his works. PROFONDO ROSSO, SUSPIRIA, INFERNO, TENEBRE, PHENOMENA and OPERA are just a small selection of his work. It is therefore a very special honor that we are able to show DARK GLASSES as a Swiss premiere in Brugg. Film fans in Switzerland have only rarely had the opportunity to enjoy Argento's films in the cinema.
Quote from Dario Argento: “I came up with DARK GLASSES a few years ago. However, I was never able to do it but I never stopped thinking about it. The difficulty was related to the demands of the market, which was looking for violent and meaningless stories, while I was finally experiencing a period of reconciliation with my nightmares. I had therefore decided to open the door of terror and go through and beyond. For me, DARK GLASSES represents the culmination of a journey as an author that is engraved in my fate and has been influenced by Edgar Allan Poe's literature since childhood.”
