Thanks BAG: the festival is taking place

The nerves were bare long enough. Today, on April 14, 2021, the Federal Council finally provided clarity. The movie theaters are allowed to reopen. And that means that the BRUGGGORE Horror Movie Festival can also take place. With a few caveats.

The joy of the decision is so great that you don't even want to worry about the restrictions. But unfortunately you can't ignore them. For the BRUGGGORE Horror Movie Festival, this will mean the following:

  1. There is a general ban on consumption in cinema. You are welcome to buy food and drink from us as a takeaway. But you have to drink and eat it outside. We will have enough seats available for you. And honestly, our pizzas and hot dogs are so delicious that it doesn't really matter where you eat them.
  2. Masks are strictly compulsory and the distance rules must be observed. That means extra space for you in the movie theater. Because one seat must remain vacant, almost everyone has their own VIP armchair.
  3. As a result of these restrictions, we are adapting the program and canceling the night shift. The films are being redistributed and are now also being distributed over Thursday. The start is at around 10:00 a.m. and the last credits expire at 00:15 at the latest. This means that it is still enough for commuters to go home. The final program will be set in stone and published on the website by the end of the week.

Apart from that, three full days of five-star horror await you — at what is probably the first festival since the start of the state of emergency. Don't worry: we have handy safety concepts and enough space to be able to celebrate the horror together.

By the way: because the 3-day passes are strictly limited and there is no box office, there is no need to reserve the desired shows additionally. So you can go in and out as you like.

The BRUGGGORE Horror Movie Festival crew is looking forward to seeing you!
