Lou, manager of a gym somewhere in New Mexico, falls in love with Jackie, a bodybuilder on her way to a muscle show in Las Vegas. Powered by steroids, they dream of a future together when Lou's problematic past catches up with them.
LOVE LIES BLEEDING is the second feature film by director Rose Glass (SAINT MAUD) and was produced by A24. Anyone who has seen SAINT MAUD knows that Glass has a fantastic eye for strong images and a sense for subtle horror that unfolds slowly but steadily. Unfortunately, we don't know what to expect from LOVE LIES BLEEDING. But the film just happened to have a Swiss premiere during the festival and you don't want to miss out on such an opportunity!
