When the night shift becomes a nightmare at the supermarket: INTRUDER (1989)
Somehow Scott Spiegel never made the leap to become a great director. With Hostel III or From Dusk Till Dawn 2, his name is on other horror productions, but just not the big one. Intruder (also Bloodnight or Night of the Intruder) would certainly have had the potential to really go through the roof.
It is the night of the last inventory in a supermarket that is supposed to close forever. As if night shifts weren't annoying enough, a mysterious slicer also gains access and immediately begins decimating the workforce.
Anyone who believes that this framework is more intended to combine numerous creative murders is not entirely wrong. Intruder is known for its harsh effects and doesn't skimp on them. You can also see Sam Raimi or Dan Hicks and even a small guest appearance by Bruce Campbell.
