Official Competition
Patrick lives alone in a trailer in the most remote part of a remote trailer park. During a violent storm, there is a knock on his door and an unknown young woman seeks shelter from the forces of nature. As a couple, such a caravan suddenly becomes oppressive. Strange noises can be heard, hypothermic dialogues take place and the discomfort spreads slowly and inexorably.
With YOU'LL NEVER FIND ME, another feature film debut makes its way into our competition. The chamber play by directing duo Josiah Allen and Indianna Bell draws its threatening power from the unknown. Brendan Rock perfectly embodies the lonely-loving idiot. Jordan Cowan plays her exciting role as an unknown visitor. They both let us grope in the dark about their intentions while we wonder whether the danger is lurking outside in the storm or has long been sitting in the trailer.
YOU'LL NEVER FIND ME is part of our Official Competition. Vote at the festival and decide which of five films receives the “Eye of the Beholder” award. You will receive the voting cards before the performance. The grand awards ceremony will take place on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at 8:30pm at Cinema Excelsior.
