Arachnophobia meets French extremity

Vermines

In a run-down residential complex in France, an aggressive spider species is spreading rapidly. A fight for survival begins for the residents.

Okay, that doesn't sound so bad at all. But don't say afterwards that we didn't warn you. VERMINES is a perfectly staged creature disgusting cinema with fantastic effects, good acting and the intensity of New French Extremity. La Grande Nation proves once again that it takes uncompromising paths when it comes to horror, even though VERMINES certainly has popcorn cinema elements. No pants should stay dry there.

Anyone who, like me, can't stand spiders can see the film as a test of courage. France is bringing terror back to creature horror. There is no crawling away from there. The eight-legged friends are everywhere. Yes, sometimes even inside people. *Gagg*
