It is the year 1957. In the depths of space, Dracula has plotted his most insidious plan so far: He transforms the inhabitants of the small town of Marlow into his personal army of vampire zombies! An aging detective, a skeptical rookie policeman, a chain-smoking teenager and a combative young woman oppose the sinister plans. Together they try to defend the world against the VAMPIRE ZOMBIES... FROM SPACE!
«With 'Vampire Zombies... from Space!' I inted to create a hilarious satire of the drive-in horror films of the 1950s, based on classics such as “The Blob,” “Plan 9 from Outer Space,” and “Forbidden Planet» writes director Michael Stasko about his film. He has certainly also found inspiration in the works of Mel Brooks. In a wonderful black and white look, with a good pinch of Ed Wood and a good dose of FRANKENSTEIN JUNIOR charm, we are shown a loving homage to the B-cinema of the 50s. Anyone who missed the originals at the cinema back then should definitely catch up now.
