Unspeakable: Beyond the Wall of Sleep

Renowned dream researcher Ambrose London is asked to investigate the strange case of patient James Fhelleps at Arkham Asylum. James is apparently inhabited by the personality Joe Slater, a primitive colonial farmer from Catskill Mountain who mysteriously disappeared 122 years ago. London's investigation takes an unexpected turn when during James' treatment with an experimental dream machine, an extraterrestrial infernal spawn is released that aims to destroy humanity.

Chad Ferrin is back and represented at BRUGGGORE for the third time with UNSPEAKABLE: BEYOND THE WALL OF SLEEP. This time with Edward Furlong, Robert Miano and a voracious penis monster in their luggage. Robert Miano fans get their money's worth. After over 330 films, including DEATH WISH (1974) or DONNIE BRASCO (1997), he is allowed to show himself open-hearted at 82 and plays perhaps the most spectacularly weird role of his life. Chapeau!

You can talk about friendship at a distance: Chad Ferrin has been enthusiastic about BRUGGGORE since the very beginning. NIGHT CALLER and PIG KILLER were already represented at our small, fine festival. My DVD shelf even has an older gem from Chad. He produced THE GHOULS (2003) in 2003. Still there as an actor back then: James Gunn, known from DAWN OF THE DEAD (2004), THE SUICIDE SQUAD (2021) or SUPERMAN (2025).
