TRAUMATIKA covers pretty much exactly what the title promises. Mikey's childhood is marked by nocturnal fears that affect him and by a mother who shows signs of demonic possession. What he experiences as a boy will haunt him throughout his life and claim many lives over generations. Are you born bad, or is evil the result of bad experiences in life?
Nasty demon horror comes together with Slasher and makes cinema guests squint their buttocks. As if childhood trauma wasn't enough, TRAUMATIKA repeatedly intersperses first-person sequences and thus further enhances the horror. Genre fans must have heard of director Pierre Tsigaridis's prequel TWO WITCHES (2021). It should therefore be obvious that this film is serious and brutal.
