Watch out old-school splatter maniacs: STORY OF RICKY (1991) is back! Or to quote the colleagues from Media Blaster: “The Greatest Hong Kong Martial Arts Action Revenge Gore-Soaked Prison Breakout Love Story Cult Film of 1991 Ever Put on DVD” — big screen in our case.
About the story: Riki-Oh goes to jail. Innocent, of course. There, he is immediately treated pretty badly by everyone. Since the prisons were privatized, they are all corrupt anyway and the inmates are all cartoonically mean villains. Thankfully, Riki has mastered qigong. And that's really good.
Story of Ricky is one of those wonderful Cat III movies that splatter fans simply must see. In Germany, the seizure and indexing of the manga film was only lifted at the end of 2022. We are showing the film dubbed in German. Simply because we always saw him that way before.
