Don't Get Mad — Get Mad Foxes

Mad Foxes (Los Violadores)

Film and exclusive film talk with director Paul Grau

When you think of the exploitation cinema of the 70s and 80s, Switzerland usually doesn't come first. Completely wrongly! Anyone who embarks on a journey of good taste with us will find out that Swissploitation did not just start in 2022. Because long before Mad Heidi, there was MAD FOXES.

After his girlfriend is raped, Hal takes on a gang of Nazi bikers and really treats them with his kickboxing friends. This in turn creates counter violence, costs one or the other penis and more lives than the Spanish flu. In between, we are inspired by immoral love scenes, homoerotically charged fitness training, car chases, martial arts, fantastic artificial blood fountains and a stingray.

What does screenwriter Erwin C. Dietrich have to do with the film? Why did this gem of Swiss film history go unnoticed for so long?

It is a very special pleasure for us to welcome director Paul Grau to Brugg for a film talk before the screening.

After 43 years, a gem of Swiss film history is finally getting the recognition it deserves.
