Eating Humans for Fun Season Special
The carnivorous plant musical is finally back on the big screen — as Director's Cut!
LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS (1986) is directed by director Frank Oz and is based on the musical of the same name by Howard Ashman and Alan Menken.
It's about the shy flower seller Seymour, who discovers a carnivorous plant that he calls Audrey II. But Audrey II doesn't eat just any meat. She likes human flesh. Seymour thus becomes entangled in a dangerous game of cat and mouse. In an increasingly risky way, he has to feed Audrey II while he tries to win the heart of his colleague Audrey.
Little Shop of Horrors is a musical that breaks the limits of the genre and plays with black comedy and horror elements. Rick Moranis as Seymour and Ellen Greene as Audrey are absolutely magical. The handmade effects are intricate and colorful. And the Director's Cut culminates in a great finale that you've never seen in the original theatrical version!
Delicatessen, Feed Me, Green Ineferno, Little Shop or Horrors, and Ravenous are part of our season special “Eating Humans for Fun.”
