LAST STRAW is one of those films that keep you constantly on your toes. Director Alan Scott Neal delivers a thrilling feature film debut and is anything but squeamish with his main character Nancy (heavily cast with Jessica Belkin). The latter must defend itself against threatening superiority, but in no way falls into a victim role. A brutal game of cat and mouse in which the mouse quickly learns how to use cunning and kitchen equipment even against cats.
LAST STRAW is part of our Official Competition. Vote at the festival and decide which of five films receives the “Eye of the Beholder” award. You will receive the voting cards before the performance. The grand awards ceremony will take place on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at 8:30pm at Cinema Excelsior.
