Since “The Body Snatchers” by Jack Finney was published as a book in 1954, several film versions of it have been published. We opted for the late seventies version. And there are many reasons for that. We cannot name most of them here. Because it sounds too unprofessional. But hey — Donald Sutherland, Jeff Goldblum, Veronica Cartwright and Leonard Nimoy are playing along. Motive and murder weapon identified. Evidence completed.
We're putting ourselves in a small town. It suddenly becomes apparent that people are acting strangely — they are somehow different. And as hard as we try not to write spoilers, the movie is called “Invasion of the Body Snatchers.” Anyone who hasn't understood what it's about at this stage is almost certainly a body snatcher himself.
