The nuclear war is over, most people, well, actually most men, are infertile. The few who can still produce offspring are ensnared by the government and used as breeding stallions. By the way, the post-apocalyptic world is populated by mutant frogs. Equipped with a genital-friendly chastity belt, Sam Hell is sent to the mutant town of Frogtown to find a group of abducted, fertile women. He is accompanied by nurse Spangle, who must constantly monitor his fertility levels. A story full of romance and chainsaw-wielding frogs. That is HELL COMES TO FROGTOWN.
Director Donald G. Jackson's (RIP) filmography is fascinating. Of around 40 productions, barely one makes it over 3 out of 10 stars. Most of his work consists of no-budget home videos, and most of them are sequels to Frogtown and its predecessor ROLLER BLADE (3.3 on IMDB). It doesn't all sound particularly motivating — so would you rather avoid cinema? Absolutely not! HELL COMES TO FROGTOWN had a nice budget back then and Jackson not only grabbed a wonderful B-movie cast (wrestler Roddy Piper, who then shot John Carpenter's THEY LIVE, and Sandahl Bergman, known from CONAN THE BARBARIAN and RED SONJA). The post-nuclear world and the cute mutants are also impressive. It's trash cinema, of course, but it's of the purest quality.
