Good Boy

Man meets woman, woman meets dog, dog is man. The premise of GOOD BOY (2022) can be subsumed into something like this. The Swedish production by director Viljar Bøe has also been released under the title Me, You & Frank and is certainly one of the most unusual films in this year's Official Competition.

Sigrid, a young student, meets millionaire heir Christian via a dating app. The two get along very well right away. Things get unpleasant for Sigrid, however, when she meets Frank at home. A man who is not only dressed up as a dog, but also behaves that way. And seems to live with Christian in a completely normal way. AWKWARD!!

Good Boy is part of our Official Competition. Vote at the festival and decide which of five films receives the “Eye of the Beholder” award. You will receive the voting cards before the performance. The grand awards ceremony will take place on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at 10:00pm at Cinema Excelsior.
