Evil Dead Rise is the long-awaited sequel to Sam Raimi's cult horror trilogy about Dance of the Devils, Dance of the Devil 2 and Armies of Darkness. The film was produced by Sam Raimi himself and Bruce Campell, the main actor of the original Evil Dead trilogy. It was directed by Lee Cronin, who has already created a gripping horror film in 2019 with The Hole In The Ground.
This time, the action is not set in the famous forest, but in an urban high-rise building, which gives the film a new atmosphere and means new challenges for the protagonists. The sisters Melissa and Beth are involuntarily confronted with the evil power of the Necronomicon and the demons are allowed to wreak havoc again.
